BROCKLEBANK : ‘INVEST IN FIFE DOING EXCELLENT WORK TO INCREASE FIFE JOBS AND INVESTMENT’

Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife, Ted Brocklebank, has welcomed the recent annual report from Invest in Fife. Invest in Fife has a remit to promote Fife as a world class business location and to attract a higher share of investment and jobs to the Kingdom. Over the past year it has been particularly successful and has managed to create 283 jobs in Fife and protect a further 580.

Commenting, Ted Brocklebank said;

“I would like to commend Invest in Fife for the excellent work they have done over the past year in creating 283 jobs and safeguarding a further 580 in Fife. This is particularly impressive given the severe impact that Gordon Brown’s recession is having throughout the country. The boost local communities receive from the creation and safeguarding of jobs cannot be underestimated in these difficult times.

“I hope that the SNP Government’s meddling with Diageo’s restructuring proposals will not stop the creation of a further 400 jobs in Fife, earmarked for a new bottling plant in Leven. Every job created in Fife is vital in helping steer the Kingdom through the current recession and I am continuing to campaign to ensure that the jobs in Leven are not lost.”
