BROCKLEBANK GETS PARBROATH JUNCTION PLEDGE FROM TRANSPORT MINISTER

The Minister for Transport Infrastructure and Climate Change, Stewart Stevenson, has promised to look again at the need for upgrading the Parbroath junction on the A92. This was the response gained to a question from Ted Brocklebank, Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife.

Speaking afterwards, Ted said;

“The Parbroath junction on the A92, where the Cupar to Newburgh A913 crosses, is one of the most dangerous intersections on the whole of the A92 and is a well-known accident black spot. It remains the only main intersection on the A92, between Kirkcaldy and Dundee, without a roundabout.

“I am pleased that the Minister has provided an assurance that the Government will look again at the need to upgrade the intersection. Whilst the Minister advised that there had been some improvements to the intersection, I would urge him to bring forward the construction of a roundabout so as to remove the potential for any further accidents.”
